Recycling Policy
Consistent with MonierLifetile LLC's (MLT) business strategies, the company is affirming its commitment as a responsible steward of the environment. As part of MonierLifetile's emphasis to minimize adverse environmental impacts, the Company recognizes the need to continue enhancing our ongoing environmental activities.
To demonstrate this commitment, MonierLifetile will:
- Comply with relevant environmental statutes, laws, regulations and policies as the absolute minimum requirement in each of the locations in which we operate.
- Recycle manufacturing and other wastes generated to the extent practicable within the business operating environment.
- Continue to minimize the generation of waste materials while operating current recycling systems and continuing installation of systems where merited.
- Encourage our employees to reduce waste generation and recycle materials at work and home.
- Where possible, investigate and develop new markets for reject tile material as a substitute for virgin material usage in our industry and others.
- Continue to investigate and, if feasible, change formulation components as warranted to those that are more "environmentally friendly" enabling reuse or recycle of the material from other industries or into other industries.
- Encourage the use of, and installation of, recycling systems in the industry through trade groups, direct action, and published information.
- Investigate life-cycle handling of the material by the company.
To support this commitment, MonierLifetile will progressively implement and maintain environmental management systems for its businesses.
