What's New at MonierLifetile

 For years, tile roofs have withstood severe hail storms that virtually destroy other roofing materials. MonierLifetile is pleased to announce the completion of testing recently performed on our concrete roofing tile that illustrates the product's impact resistance.
As expected, all of our standard weight tiles achieved at least a Class 3 rating and our flat tiles rated a Class 4--the highest rating possible under FM 4473. Building professionals and homeowners now have a mainstream, affordable roofing alternative that will potentially stand up to fire and hail (as well as high winds and rain).
Concrete tile played a key role in protecting homes from fire in the wildfire areas of the Western US, because of its Class A fire rating. We expect more homeowners will want to select tile to protect their homes against hail in the Midwest, in light of the new FM standard. It is also our hope the test results against the standard FM4473 will encourage the building industry to utilize hail rated roofing products, so homeowners can benefit from the opportunities to protect their property and reduce their homeowners insurance premiums.
